Conservative dentistry - movies

The basic procedures carried out as a part of conservative dentistry are removal of dental caries from the tooth and filling the tooth crown, mostly with composite materials (inserting a filling).

However, if dental caries is detected late, the carious process penetrates the tooth up to the pulp and it becomes necessary to perform root canal therapy (endodontic treatment), which involves removal of the infected neurovascular tissue from canals and pulp cavity, and filling of the resulting space with a material that prevents the growth of bacteria.
